Generate PDFs: reports, whitepapers, and document-style content

LLMs don't only cite blog posts. Reports, whitepapers, and research PDFs get pulled into AI answers too, often because they read as authoritative, standalone sources. Content Generation now supports them directly.

A new PDF content type

When you create a new content action, choose pdf alongside listicle, competitor comparison, guide, ecommerce guide, and technical guide. It's built for reports, whitepapers, and other pieces you plan to share as a document.

Generation works the same way as other types. You give it a target query, company details, a title, optional context, and a model, and XLR8 returns scored sections aligned to that query. Your Brand Guidelines apply here too.

Edit and optimize before you export

PDF pieces open in the same editor as everything else. You can reorder, add, and delete sections, leave comments, and run the Cosine Similarity Maximiser on any single section to tighten its alignment with the target query.

Download as a letter-size PDF

From the content editor, click download and choose PDF, next to Markdown and HTML. The file uses your current section text, including any optimized versions you picked, and is named after the content title.

Why this matters

Gated and ungated reports are some of the most-cited assets in B2B categories, and they're some of the slowest to produce. Now you can build one around a specific buyer query, optimize it section by section, and export a shareable file in one workflow.
