Introducing the AEO Audit: a 0–100 scorecard for AI discoverability, in one click
AEO Audit is the fastest way to find out how AI-ready your site is without setting up Experiments or running an optimization pass. Drop in a homepage URL, hit Run audit, and you have a structured scorecard in seconds.
One input, one button
The form is intentionally tiny:
Homepage URL — drop in your domain (or any homepage you want to audit)
Run audit — kicks off the scan
That's it. The audit runs against the URL you provided and returns a full scorecard.

The 0–100 score
Every audit produces a single overall AEO Score out of 100, with an AI-generated one-paragraph summary that calls out the primary issues found — e.g. "scores 79/100, with the primary missing pieces being the lack of structured data and ineffective meta descriptions; additionally, multiple H1 tags could impact SEO performance."
The score is color-coded so you can tell at a glance whether the result is Good, Average, or Needs work.
Four pillars, scored out of 25 each
The 100 points break down across four pillars, each scored out of 25 and labeled with a plain-English status:
Findable — can AI crawlers and search engines actually reach and index the page? Checks include HTTPS enabled, robots.txt present, sitemap.xml accessible, canonical URL set, and similar fundamentals.
Quotable — is the content structured in a way LLMs can lift and cite? Checks structured data presence, schema markup, meta description quality, and answerability signals.
Understandable — can a model actually parse the page? Checks heading hierarchy (including the H1 count), content depth, content-to-noise ratio, and semantic structure.
Trustworthy — does the page carry the signals LLMs use to evaluate authority? Checks author info, publish dates, citation patterns, and trust markers.
Each pillar's status chip is independent — so you can be Good on Findable, Average on Quotable, and Needs work on Understandable, all at once. The total is the sum.

Every sub-check is broken out
Click into any pillar and you get the sub-checks one row at a time, each with its own points-earned-vs-possible (e.g. 2/2, 7/7, 10/25) and a one-line explanation of what's being measured and why it matters. So a low pillar score never lands as just a number — you see exactly which checks failed and what they were testing.
Why it matters
Every other feature in XLR8 helps you measure or improve specific content. AEO Audit operates one level up — it tells you whether your site is even set up to be discoverable by AI. If the homepage is failing on the basics (no sitemap, broken canonicals, no structured data), no amount of Content Generation or Content Optimization further down the funnel will save the citation rate.
It's the diagnostic to run before the optimization work, not after.
